Our Channels Lodge and brand-new Madison River Lodge are well equipped and offer flexibility for a variety of meeting types. We regularly host board meetings, planning sessions, sales briefings, classes and presentations in our state-of-the-art facilities. Each space is complemented with an outstanding view of the rugged Madison Range.
A company fishing trip in Montana is a little different than your typical ski or golf trip for businesses. Life is simple out here with open space and unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreation. Team building usually involves some friendly fly fishing competitions, a game of horseshoes at sunset, cigars by the fire or just some good ol' fashion story-telling with a beverage of choice in hand.
We can accommodate group fishing trips up to 28 guests at MVR. Corporate trips often choose to buy the lodge out for their own exclusive use. Smaller groups between 6-12 people can also take advantage of our Channels Lodge as a partial lodge buyout for exclusive access to a common area ideal for holding meetings, socializing and watching sporting events on TV. Both options include all-inclusive fly fishing, meals and beverages. We frequently customize the trip itinerary to provide each group with a memorable experience.
Group coordinators are welcome to work with our experienced hospitality team to provide their group members with some personalized arrival gifts and special touches. Clothing, hats, dry bags, logo accessories, fishing gear, specific beverages and more are a welcoming gesture that everyone appreciates upon checking into their room. Contact us about ideas, logistics and vendor options.
All of our rates include lodging, guided fishing trips, meals, beer, wine and use of Orvis fishing gear.
Airfare, Montana fishing license ($32-118), Montana Resort Tax ($20/person/night), airport transfers (see below), store purchases, guide gratuities (see below), or liquor. In addition, all credit card transactions leading up to your arrival will be subject to a 3% transaction fee. Please do not hesitate to ask for further information regarding the exclusions.
In this region, it is customary to tip your guide at the end of each day. The average tip is between $150-200 per guide, per day.
If you are fishing with the same guide for consecutive days and would like to tip them after your last trip, please communicate this with them on the first day. Cash is always preferred, but we can add guide gratuities to your invoice at checkout if you’d like to pay with a credit card.
Airport Shuttle: $340.00 round trip for the first 2 passengers and includes gratuity; each additional two passengers is $40.00 roundtrip until the vehicle is full. If an extra vehicle is need, an additional full rate applies. The fare includes a brief stop. Longer stops (i.e. for lunch) are charged at $20/hr.
The best options for a commercial airport is Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport at Gallatin Field (BZN), serviced by Delta, Southwest, JetBlue Alaska/Horizon, United, American Airlines, Frontier, and Allegiant. It is approximately one hour from the Ranch.
The Ennis/Big Sky airport offers a brand-new tarmac and can accommodate large private jets. We would be happy to arrange transportation to and from this airport, which is just 15 minutes from the lodge
Driving: Guests can drive directly to the Ranch. You may drive your own car or rent one in Bozeman. We strongly recommend reserving rental cars well ahead of your trip. Maps will be sent prior to your departure.
We understand that circumstances may arise requiring changes to your planned Montana fly fishing trip. We highly suggest protecting your trip with Global Rescue Travel Insurance. Please take note of our cancellation and payment policy:
A minimum of 6 Channels Lodge guest rooms must be reserved for exclusive use of the Channels Lodge
Great Room, and meals will be shared with the other lodge guests in our Madison Lodge dining room.
Because of our intimate size and reliance on advance bookings, cancellations affect us significantly,
particularly for large group bookings. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of filling the space.
For this reason we must make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. We regret that no refund is
possible for non-guided fishing days, bad weather, non-arrival or early departure.
A deposit of 50% of the total group invoice, payable by Visa, American Express, Master Card or check, will
confirm your group reservation. The Deposit is due within 14 days of receipt of the booking confirmation
letter and the remaining invoice balance is due 90 days prior to your visit.
In case of a cancellation made prior to 180 days of arrival, the Deposit is fully refundable, less a $200
processing fee per person.
For cancellations made between 90 and 180 days prior to the arrival date, 50% of the Deposit will be
refunded and the remaining Deposit is nonrefundable.
If a cancellation must be made within 90 days of arrival, the entire 50% Deposit is nonrefundable to cover
costs and due to our inability to rebook a great portion of the rooms on such short notice. Your payment of
the invoice amount above the 50% Deposit will be refundable or can be applied to a future booking date if
you choose.
If a cancellation is made within 45 days of arrival, the entire package amount is nonrefundable.
If you are at all concerned with a cancellation possibility, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip
insurance. We work with many fine travel insurers and would be happy to assist you in finding a company
to work with.
