A friend and I stayed at MVR in May 2016 and could not have been more pleased with all aspects of our visit. The staff, guides, food, and other amenities were first class and we were treated more as friends that came to visit than guests. Would highly recommend MVR for anyone wanting to catch great trout, see beautiful Montana, and be treated to outstanding hospitality.

What a great time! Fishing, Food and Fun!! This was my first visit and I loved it. I could not have enjoyed it more. Everything met or exceeded expectations. The people are all fantastic and helped make the trip even more enjoyable!

Great experience from beginning to end. All staff cheerful, happy and so eager to please (and very successful in doing so!!!). Great food, comfortable surroundings, slept like a baby. Activities planned well and I always felt relaxed. Caught beautiful rainbow from the time we arrived until we had to depart.

Spent three days fishing the Madison River and our guides worked hard to make sure we had a great trip and lots of fun. After fishing, we'd come back to the lodge where the friendly staff tried their hardest to make sure we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Great surroundings, accommodations and people. They do a wonderful job at Madison Valley Ranch!

This was my second visit to MVR and it was wonderful from the moment I arrived. The staff is so friendly and willing to do anything to help. The food was delicious and the other guests were great fun.

We visited Madison Valley Ranch as a celebration for our son's college graduation. We picked Madison Valley based on it's ORVIS endorsement and Lodge of the Year Rating. It did not disappoint. Everything was first class: The guides, the staff, the accommodations, the food....everything! The staff create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. After dinner, we were able to continue fishing in the pond for trophy Kamloops Rainbows. There is also easy access to fishing the Channel section of the Madison on a transition day or evening. The Ranch has a new on site fly shop with Orvis rods to use in the pond and plenty of local flies. We enjoyed our entire stay and recommend Madison Valley without reservation.

My father and I visited Madison Valley Ranch for a long Father's Day weekend, and it was the perfect trip. Truly. I cannot say enough about our experience; it was absolutely fantastic. The lodge, fishing, meals etc. were all wonderful. But it was the amazing staff that truly put this trip over the top. Zach, Manu, Matt, as well as the guides, all go out of their way to ensure that you have the fishing experience of a lifetime. What a treat to visit such a fantastic lodge in such a fantastic setting and then be made to feel at every moment that you are not just a customer, you are among good friends. The perfect trip.

Just made my second trip to Madison Valley Ranch. While there are a lot of great fishing destinations, to me what makes an experience truly exceptional are the people -- the staff, guides, chef. MVR gets great marks in all of these areas. Beautiful place, with great fishing and great people.

As soon as we pulled in and Manu the lodge manager came out to greet us I knew we would be in for fantastic 3 days of fishing and great memories. The lodge itself is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, wildlife and great fishing. Our accomadations were fantastic we stayed in one of the duplexes by the hot tub. Yes I said hot tub which was great to relax in after a long day of fishing and fantastic meals. You will wake up after a relaxing night to Zach filling your coffe cup greeting you in the lodge ready to send you on your way to a fantastic day of fishing after a great breakfast. Matt the chef will not disappoint to the great breakfast made by Anthony in the morning to Matts creations in the evening to his appetizers, then on to a wonderful 4 course meal. Each dish created to perfection. Oh and don't forget lunch on the river that your guide will provide. You will not leave hungry. We met some fun fantastic people from all over sharing our fish stories of the day always talking about the one that got away. If you want fantastic fishing top notch accomadations and a staff at a lodge that would do anything to make your stay more enjoyable stay at the Madison Valley Lodge. Thank you Manu, Zach, Matt and the rest of the crew for a trip that my husband and I will always treasure .

The staff at Madison Valley Ranch made me feel they were there just for me. The float trips were well organized and the guide was very personable. The breakfast buffets and four course dinners were delicious. I found the accommodations very comfortable. Great views in big sky country where the deer and the antelope play!
