We started coming to MVR in 2005 and just can't seem to stop! The experience has never been anything short of perfect and this year was no exception. Fishing on the Madison and surrounding waters is always amazing and we love that we can alternate between float and wade fishing for a variety of experiences. Manu and Zach truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to meet your needs while you are there and are so welcoming. They get excited right along with you as you fill them in on the day's fishing each night! The views all around the lodge are spectacular and there is even fishing within walking distance just behind the lodge should you have enough energy at the start or end of the day to sneak a little extra time in on the water! Matthew never disappoints at mealtime and every meal is both delicious and beautiful and the variety of dishes is endless. We hope to be back for trip #9 in the very near future!

My sons and I had never fly fished and we decided to come here for a boy's weekend. It was fantastic! The staff and guides very very patient and were very good instructors. The Ranch is very comfortable, and the food was unbelievable. It is a great location, convenient to get to, and fantastic staff. I would recommend for anybody -- beginners, experienced, families. They even arranged a horseback ride for us th day we arrived. I'd recommend Madison Valley Ranch to everybody.

The ranch sits in a beautiful valley with surrounded by fields and mountains. Cabins are simply but tastefully furnished, and anything we needed was right there. Our front porch looked out over a field where deer came each evening to graze. The main lodge has the dining area (plenty of fresh coffee and hot tea!), space to gather for appetizers before dinner, and a fire pit. It's a very peaceful place, and there is fishing right on the property in a stocked pond and nearby creek. We caught really large trout in the pond. Manu and Zach are both amazing to work with. They are outgoing and cheerful, and they make you feel right at home from the second you arrive. They're both constantly running back and forth to meet the needs of guests, but they also take the time to visit, and there's a true feeling of belonging and contentment as you spend time on the property.  There's a very special chemistry and culture at work within this group that elevates your stay at the ranch beyond just a great outdoor and fishing experience.

The location and staff make this an outstanding choice for a fishing vacation. The view of the mountains from the lodge is outstanding. Food is great and the staff is as friendly as they come! Great choice of lodges bar none.

Just made my second trip to Madison Valley Ranch. While there are a lot of great fishing destinations, to me what makes an experience truly exceptional are the people -- the staff, guides, chef. MVR gets great marks in all of these areas. Beautiful place, with great fishing and great people.

We went for a weekend getaway and really enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The guide we were set up for the two days was wonderful and very knowledgable. We caught a lot of beautiful and nice size fish both days. The accommodations at the Ranch were relaxing, lovely and perfect. Great food and wine. We loved sitting on our deck watching the wildlife appear each evening.

Now that I am back in the East after five weeks of travel that commenced with my stay at the Madison Valley Ranch, I want to express my most sincere thanks for the superb job you did hosting me and the production crew. You run a first-rate operation, one that I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Madison's outstanding angling opportunities. Tim and I were very impressed with Chris's guiding skills. I can speak for both of us when I say that Chris is one of a select few of the most knowledgable guides who work on the Madison River. The time spent learning the river and handling a boat under various flow conditions really shows in Chris's approach to guiding. I hope that I will have the chance to fish with you again soon.
