This was our 7th trip to MVR. Manu met us at the lodge with big hugs. We felt like we were home with family. Our room was comfortable and well appointed with some upgrades since last year, new carpeting and lights. Very nice. There was a variety of wildlife to enjoy watching in the meadows by the lodge, moose, cranes, antelope. The moose in particular was unusual to see. As always the food at every meal was superb. Matt the chef and his staff are very creative and prepare perfect portion sized meals using many local ingredients. The fishing guides were again amazing, very knowledgeable and put us on the fish despite cooler conditions at this time of year. We caught some very nice size trout. Every day when we returned from fishing Zach or Manu greeted us enthusiastically wanting to hear all about our day on the river. Thank you MVR staff for another wonderful experience.

Madison Valley Ranch is situated in a beautiful area in the Ennis valley of Montana. The staff...hostesses, chef and kitchen assistants, and river guides are all top-notch, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. The lodge and cabins are warm and well appointed. Food is very tasty and varied. All in all, a great home away from home. I drove 2500 miles to spend a few days there, it was my second trip to this great destination. I even found some of the old faces from 17 yrs. ago still guiding on the famous waters of southwestern Montana. I would heartily recommend it to anyone desiring to visit this gorgeous part of the country. You will not be disappointed.

Our visit to Madison Valley Ranch was an awesome experience. The staff at the ranch are first class just like the accommodations. The meals were second to none as far as my experience at fishing lodges.

Our fly fishing expeirece, accomodations, hospitality was just about as good as it gets. We now include the Madison Valley Ranch on anual must vist. Thanks to our great guide Garrett and the warmth of the lodge managers Manu and Zach we experienced the fly fishing trip of a lifetime.

What a wonderful Christmas gift from my wife for my son and I to learn and experience Fly Fishing at Madison Valley Ranch. The trip was memorable due to the people staffing the ranch, from the initial greeting, hosting and superb hospitality provided by Manu and Zach’s over the top organizational skills coordinating mornings and fishing departures. Their abilities combined with the great food, evening gatherings and the beautiful setting and accommodations of the ranch resulted in a fantastic experience. What about the fishing? Our fishing guide, Art, taught us all we know about fly fishing including his secrets to catching lots of fish (we lost count the first day). He created a great adventure on the Madison River but please don't ask him about the one that got away. All in all it was a great trip, one I will to do again and highly recommend to anyone from beginners to the most experienced. Thanks Madison Valley Ranch for a memorable adventure.

The accommodations and dining was magnificent! The service by everyone of the team was top notch!

MVR has become an annual destination for my three college classmates and myself. After long research, we chose MVR as best overall for our annual fly-fishing trip. We have never been disappointed. Accommodations, cuisine, equipment, staff, guides and fishing are excellent.

From the time we arrived, til our departure the staff did everything to make us feel welcome and numerous times were concerned if we needed anything. If we did, it was taken care of immediately. Food and dining experience 5 star plus!!! Now for the fishing experience, our guide was fabulous. Truck and boat spotless, very knowledgeable of the river and what flies would be best. Good conversation and skill makes the day fly when you have a top notch guide. Looking to return next year!!!

I was not a fly fisherman. My twin sister was an experienced fly fisherman. My company gave us the trip to MVR as a retirement gift. After 8 weeks of fly fishing lessons, I was ready for my adventure. It was wonderful, and our guide Justin was a great teacher. I loved it and didn't want it to end. Thank you to all of the staff and guests at MVR for making the trip such a wonderful experience

I've been three times. Madison Valley Ranch offers a wonderful experience in every aspect of fly fishing. The food is great - interesting, varied (venison, quail, duck, and trout, to mention some of the entrees), and delicious. I've fished different water on different rivers in lots of conditions, with some epic days. The Madison River can't be beat. I've fished with multiple guides. They've all been friendly, good teachers, and excellent at their jobs. I've met many interesting people from all over the country. Perhaps best of all, Manu, Zach, Parker and Matt are not only excellent at their jobs but they're genuinely nice people who make time spent at MVR special. I can't wait for my next trip to MVR. Highly recommended.
